It was great to see so many CJCC players taking part in the Essex Junior Chess Association tournament in Chelmsford on 23rd October.

CJCC Dates up to April 2023

Please see below for our dates over the next few months. I will email out any changes. 

It is a slightly random pattern due to other chess events taking place on Saturdays.

Please note the extended time for the younger players and also save the link below to keep track of all the different chess events open to everyone.

CJCC will meet on the following Saturday mornings:

12th November, 26th November, 17th December, 21st January, 28th January, 18th February, 25th February, 11th March, 18th March.

We meet in Christ Church in London Road (CM2 0AW).

The younger club (School years 1 to 5) will meet from 9.15am to 10.45am.

The older club (School years 6+) from 10.45am to 12.15pm.

The times are fluid as the groups merge into each other and the stronger, younger players are welcome to stay on.

Numbers are limited and sessions will need to be pre-booked at chelmsfordjuniorchess@gmail.com

The cost will be £5 per session, which will be a mix of playing and coaching.

Payment in cash on the day or online marked CJCC.
